Prayer

Blessed be the LORD, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle; my rock and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield and he in whom I take refuge, who subdues the peoples under him.

I will sing a new song to thee, O God; upon a ten-stringed harp I will play to thee who gives victory and rescue to thy servant (Psalms 144: 1 - 2, 9 - 10).

Hear a just cause, O LORD; attend to my cry! Give ear to my prayer from lips free of deceit! My steps have held fast to thy paths, my feet have not slipped.

I call upon thee, for thou wilt answer me, O God; incline thy ear to me, hear my words.

Keep me as the apple of the eye; hide me in the shadow of thy wings. As for me, I shall behold thy face in righteousness; when I awake, I shall be satisfied with beholding thy form (Psalms 17: 1, 5 - 6, 8, 15).
